This is a nice feature if the only time the station operates is some random ridiculous hour like 4 am.  Try it out

  *   Standard Country Prefixes proceeded by "*" will show all the spots for that country, no matter what the callsign.(ie *YI) The prefix used MUST be the standard one for the country. ie *HN or *YI9 will NOT work. The prefix must exactly match the country file's prefix for the country. This only works for nodes that give the DX Country information with the DX Spots.
  *   Any prefix followed by a "*" will show all DX spots beginning with that prefix. (e.g. P5*)
  *   Specific calls can be entered. (e.g. FT5XO, 8Q7DV, VK0TM)

As shown, different calls can have different frequency ranges for their alarms.
The individual frequencies for each range can be changed. Pressing "Default" will reset the frequencies.
Email can be sent to you at work so you can sneak out and work the ones you need. Emails can be sent on a per callsign basis. Selected calls will have a red bar to the right of the callsign.

  *   Sound - Turns on the Alert sound.
  *   Auto Open - Will change to the Dx Tab and Select "Alarm" band.
  *   Show Sending - Shows the email status as it is being sent.
Some ISPs require that the "To" and "From" email addresses be enclosed in < > brackets . If it doesn't work without them, try it with them!
To debug problems with email, put a check in "Show Sending", and then save. Then from the main screen go to "Set>Debug Mode", and enter a check. This will give you a display of the email conversation with your ISP.

3A and XW are possible now.  They occasionally show up at a time/band that is workable.  You ever set up the alarm system on VE7CC software to alert when they are active?

Yes and if the mail system gets 100 % I can also chase cards again for helping over the 2K mark.  LOTW has made me so lazy, but has allow more air time!

If I could only work the XU, XW, or the 3A.  All are on the air, but during the wrong time for US.

Jay, W5JAY, has provided updated DXCC Standings info.  Jay has been digging out new band multipliers and achieved his intermediate Desoto Challenge goal of 1800 with one to spare!  His new goal is 2000 within the next year.   He also  added an ATNO, JD1/M, to pull within two of Mixed Honor Roll.

Jay says he wishes he had paid more attention to DXing when he was young!  I hear you Jay.  That’s a bit like the old adage..…Wish I had paid more attention in school!
