HI Trent,
Guys like Joel and Rick do make us little guys try harder. I am not sure why? In Rick case I have known him since I was a young whipper snapper. The first time I met him was at the Little Rock hamfast, I think it was at a holiday in back in the late 70s or early 80s? I think Joel and Rick were doing DX talks even back then.
In fact this whole group is a motivation. If it wasn’t for this group, I would probably be burning solder on an AM rig, hi.

Jay, W5JAY, has provided updated DXCC Standings info. Jay has been digging out new band multipliers and achieved his intermediate Desoto Challenge goal of 1800 with one to spare! His new goal is 2000 within the next year. He also added an ATNO, JD1/M, to pull within two of Mixed Honor Roll.
Jay says he wishes he had paid more attention to DXing when he was young! I hear you Jay. That’s a bit like the old adage..…Wish I had paid more attention in school!
