Good stuff EJ;
My interest has been perked by the comments here on ADXA about JT needs. Went back in my band QSL boxes and found following confirmed Qs on 80 and 160m. Guess I was fortunate. Have JT on all WARC bands.
(1)JT0GM Nov. 1982 3.8 SSB op UV3GM
(2)JT0APE Nov. 1985 1.8 CW op UZ3AGO Serge.
In 1982 in Little Rock had a shunt fed tower for 80 and 160m with monobander HF beams on top to help the capacitance. In 1985 in Paris AR I had an inverted V for 80m at 72 feet and on 160m I again shunt fed my tower which was a bit of a problem since it was a ‘crank up’ tower! Lol

Get some nice postage covers back from Mongolia too. I’ve saved every foreign QSL envelope since late 60’s. Have boxes of them.
Need him on 80/160. Had good copy on him this winter on 80 but my puny signal couldn’t break through. He doesn’t seem to hear well on 80. There was the endless cycle of him calling CQ followed about a jillion people calling him followed by him calling CQ.
I asked Roger QS about getting cards checked at ADXA meeting for WAZ awards and he wasn’t sure. Anyone know?
I’ve never even applied for WAZ but there seems to be some interest in the club so was looking at my totals.
Thanks
EJ K5EJ

I can 2nd what was said about JT1CO. If you request a card for a contact, you will get the card. I believe I did it via OQRS and PayPal and had the card in about 30 days.

CORRECTION! Chak's wheat farm is about 25,000 acres, NOT 15,000!

For those who do not know Chak, JT1CO, he is a very prominent citizen and radio amateur in Mongolia with a station very capable of working a modest station in the U.S.
Chak's JT1CO station is also the same station as JT5DX, the callsign used during contests.
Chak's station is located on his 15,000 acre wheat farm in northern Mongolia near the Russian border. Chak's farm supplies about 99% of the wheat consumed in the country. Chak and his wife live in Ulaanbaatar and he remotes to his station from there. It is a several hour drive from Ulaanbaatar city out to the farm.
Chak's wife handles the QSL duties and they are very prompt in sending out QSL's. Chak had tried LoTW but dropped it and did not want to keep up with it so a reason I don't recall. This past winter Jeff, K1ZM was at Chak's for a 160 meter op and spoke to Chak about getting back on LoTW. The 160 meter logs from that op were finally uploaded to LoTW however I do not know if Jeff handled it or if Chak is back on LoTW. Regardless, you can be assured of a QSL from JT1CO if you work him.
So, if you need Zone 23 keep an eye on the spots for Chak, JT1CO or JT5DX during a contest. You can work his big station!

George, first congrats on Z. 34. That's a tough one too.
Tonight (Wed) I was listening to a station ID'ing as JT1CO on
14.074 between 0010 - 0053Z when I quit listening. He called CQ
a number of times and had stations replying. He was -16 to - 19 here
in NM. So.... never heard him work one station in all that time - very
strange. Was hearing China, Japan, and Asiatic Russia during that
time also (on my dipole). So either he had a receive problem or ??. Anyway, good
luck and hope you get Z. 23 soon. 73 Rick AI5P
