Has anyone heard of a ham being struck while operating?

Thanks

Last night one of docs here was outside doing a little yardwork when some
storm clouds appeared. Was not actively storming just rumbling. He was
struck by lightning. He survived. Hit his shoulder and and blew out the
bottom of his shoe. Knocked him to the ground. Elevated CPK so he is on
fluids. I visited him and his voice was raspy so must have some effect.
Anyway, keep it in mind when you are doing any antenna work with weather in
area.

EJ
