David.
That is why they call FT8 the non-human mode… right? LOL
I never hear anything “too loud” on 160m with a dipole fed at 34 feet and the bottoms 3 feet off the ground and making angles right and left between trees, etc as they taper downward to the ground… Not like my old ½ wave slopers (not ¼ wave stuff) off my 100 foot towers in the 1993-95 timeframe. I rotated them by hand to the direction I wanted. Fun days.
They do not plan on 160m SSB again, as the large antennas come down tomorrow during daylight… Horrible conditions on VP6R as you know. Just wish since they had 6 bands listed for RTTY with frequencies shown, that they wud have made QSOs on RTTY but “NO”… Maybe I need a kitty cat to work FT8 for me during the night when I am asleep… hmmmm. A good topic for our Dec. annual ADXA meeting seminars.

They have had a good signal everywhere I’ve worked them. In fact, i worked an insurance Q on 160 CW because I thought they were too loud the first time! Hi!

Even Jules the cat worked them on 30m FT-8 - I’ll tell you about it at breakfast sometime... 😆
