Supposedly the T30 in W. Kiribati goes QRT tomorrow GMT which means today is probably the last time you can get them on the upper bands. They may even be breaking down the low band antennas now during their daytime, their SR just started a few minutes ago.
Though I did not need him for an ATNO on 60m, I did manage to work him at our SR this morning on channel 4 CW (5373) and sorta completed my chasing of them with 10 difficult band/modes. Only had one RTTY, as they seemed to favor FT8. Will continue to monitor 24 mc today for a CW Q, surprisingly did get them on SSB on 24mc early in their trip.
The 5K0K keeps rolling along. Got them on 160m last night, reasonable copy. Only need them on 24 SSB (they’ve only worked 2 QSOs there) and would like to get a 10mc RTTY, again they are using FT modes a lot more and only worked 96 stations on 30m RTTY.. They go QRT in 5 more days.
The VP6R is unpredictable with the foreign team members seeming to look for EU a lot, understandable I guess. Have not heard them on 28mc and only briefly on 24mc. Getting them on 160 and 80 was a good plus for me, having to stay up late and then getting up early with 6 hours sleep. Wud be nice to get them on RTTY on some band but it’s all been FT8…. See a trend here too do ya?? LOL
*** Get in and chase these 3 at least. The VP6R goes QRT on Nov 1st, so you.ve got a lot of time to get ‘em… ***
