One close to 300 and another member close to 200 mixed. Great jobs Cecil and John! THAT is difficult, considering the bands being way down for the past 3 years. Just wait til 2023 or so; things will pick up a LOT but not as high as the cycle 24 that just ended. At least that is what most forecasting programs are predicting.

When I started ham radio in 1957-58 (SWLing before that in 55- early 57 in Memphis), the prop was the highest in 100 years based on raw data and before ham radio started. In the 1930s it began its big rise, much higher in the mid 1940s and then came the late 1950s, thank goodness. Sure got me hooked when I was on AM talking to a ZS6 in Africa on 10 meters and you could hear raindrops on his tin roof with signals S9+20! That was a bit before SSB became the main mode, penetrating QRN and QRM better than AM’s audio bandwidth could. A new day and new era.

Chasing DX is not the same as 6-7 decades ago but still fun to get that “ATNO” and DXCC sticker endorsements. I respect today’s ADXA DXing members and their persistence in the chase … whether you are a Full Member or Associate Member.

Cecil, W5WHU, has provided updated DXCC standings info.  Cecil has been busy working new ones.  He’s closing in on DXCC on 40M with 96 verified.   He’s also now up to 192 Mixed.  Great progress with virtually no sun spots.

John, KT4AC, has also been busy and has added new ones on several bands.  John is up to 279 Mixed. Great progress John.
