[ADXA] WOO HOO!!! The ADXA Conference!!!!!!!!!!

ADXA Folks,

Thanks to those who have registered so for. I want to ask a favor....OK, 
two favors. First, please register if you haven't already. Second, 
please advertise our conference to anyone and everyone. I realize some 
newer (or even older) hams may not understand the concept of a 
conference -vs- a tailgate hamfest and the $50 registration is something 
they are not accustom to at a hamfest flea market. When you really think 
about it, though, you're investing in your station and YOUR passion for 
amateur radio. You will be obtaining a wealth of knowledge that you 
canNOT get anywhere else in Arkansas or anywhere within a 300 mile 
radius, not to mention the door prizes. While we're NOT offering a new 
FT5000DX, each prize is valued from $25 to $200 each plus a nice lunch 
(not a hamfest weenie) so you are way ahead of the game dollar wise 
(additional prizes are being added!!!!.

I am very excited to have my very good personal friend Ward Silver, 
N0AX, as one of our special guests. Ward has operated from my station 
and I have learned a great deal from him. If you live in northwest 
Arkansas, whether you are an ADXA member or not, it would be inexcusable 
to miss this conference. If you live in the central Arkansas area it 
would be a tragic loss for you not to make the trip to Springdale! N4JQQ 
and Lucie are coming from Memphis and that's a five to six hour drive so 
they have set the bar!!!! Not only will you miss a couple of great 
presentations from Ward you will simply miss some very valuable 
“one-on-one” time with him as well.

You will also have quality time with Kevin Stockton, N5DX/ZF2DX, who 
will be with us the entire day. Aside from being a proud Arkansan, Kevin 
is an internationally renowned and highly respected DX contester. He is 
literally a household name all over the world in amateur radio circles 
and has been a top 3 competitor at the amateur radio Olympics, the World 
Radio Team Championship (WRTC) for several years. You don't just walk in 
a compete in this, you MUST qualify to compete just like the Olympics! 
Even Ward is excited Kevin will be there as they have never met!!!!

ARRL President K5UR will be there. Forget he is ARRL President because 
he is one BIG GUN DX dude! Check out his DX accomplishments and what's 
really, really neat is you STILL hear him in those pileups beating up 
and walking on the east coast guys even with his limited time serving as 
ARRL President! I know you all know that about Rick but heck, I just had 
to say it anyway.

So, please help get the word out. If you know some folks with the 
Oklahoma DX Association, a DX club in Missouri or even those Kansas City 
DX guys (they can be down to Springdale as quick as I can) get hold of 
them and invite them down!!!!

So, here's the bottom line. You know what to do…..”SPREAD THE WORD, GET 
REGISTERED AND GET THERE!!!!”
