Interesting post on one of the Ten-Tec reflectors today, citing a trade
journal article and the importance of clean TX Audio impacting our ability
to work DX. This is one of the things we try to assist one another with in
our weekly 3820 Roundtable on Sunday afternoons at 1600 local here in NWA

As soon as I hit SEND, I thought of this article from RadioWorld.com. It
covers an age-old subject from an industry expert. Most of us don't make
modulation adjustments on transmitters but the author adds perspective to
the belief that transmitters should always be set at 100% (or more)
modulation. It also made me think about the overuse of speech compression:

I can think back of many times when I broke a big DX pile-up barefoot simply
because my audio was super clean!
