[ADXA] Wow! What A DX Rush

I'm glad October is over as it proved to be an very intense month with a 
number of personal, work and radio action occurring.

To say the past two months have been pretty exciting for DX'ing is 
really an understatement. The number of fall DXpeditions really charged 
up the bands and frankly proved my point that conditions aren't as bad 
as Chicken Little has reported. The bands are open a heck of a lot more 
than we are led to believe, folks just aren't on to generate activity. 
My proof in point is the number of ADXA members who logged VP6R 
everywhere from 160-10 meters! Several of you also put a new one in your 
log - CONGRATS!!

There's a little break before additional ones fire up. If you're still 
radio hungry and need some non-DX action the ARRL CW Sweepstakes contest 
is this weekend. Dave, NN1N is here at W5ZN and will be running SOHP 
from here in the contest. I believe he intends to use W5ZN as the 
callsign so if you here that callsign in the contest say hello to Dave. 
I'll be providing moral support!

Later this month is the BIGGIE CW DX contest, the CQWW. There will be a 
ton of DX stations on during that event. You know what to do.....GET ON 
THE AIR AND WORK SOME DX!!!!

For now, take a little breather from all the recent action, make some 
quick antenna or station repairs that may be needed and get ready for 
the next round!
