Bruce. That vertical system of yours is working well. Congrats!
I just got them this morning, way after the W5 area posted times of having worked them. I saw a post and just listened on freq for 15 minutes as I read about our Ark basketball team losing again. Then heard him very weakly calling CQ on 7010. He came back to all sorts of my call portions, K5?, 5Y?, S5?, Y?, etc. After my repeating his missing portions, he got me at 1405Z. Then he was GONE in 2 more minutes, a true late peak for 40m. Having a sloper antenna I could not test LP vs SP.. HI HI

Now, will get up a little earlier tomorrow to listen on 80. Some TEXAS guys were working him at 14Z timeframe or so but nil here. 1.8 is impossible for me. So today at 2300Z I will be looking on 15 – 30m. May be stronger on 14mc today. Definitely readable SP but nil LP, which I checked many times on all bands. Thankfully got V8 on RTTY years ago.

I'm confirmed on 40 meters, so now focusing on 80 and watching for them to pop up on other bands. I've heard them every morning on 80 -- barely.  That's a new one for me, so happy to get it.  I'm finding the climb from 200 to 250 to be very slow.
