Good morning San, yes you had BBQ with Dr. Charles Floyd. However I think the other doctor you are thinking about he is Tom Raymond W5JM AKA W5 junkman. Doctor Tom Raymond had a huge collection of Rigs and Bill and him would run the Classic Radio Exchange. 73 JSent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

He drove to Alma to meet me once and I bought him a BBQ meal, THe best in NWA, at the filling station where 71B meets I40.. Been going there for years and he knew about it. I had one card for him to check. Used to refer patients to him when I was in medical practice in Paris in the 1980s.  He has (or did have) so many pieces of OLD and mint condition ham equipment. May be gone now, Jay would know. Always won the “Old Equipment” contest every year and W5SJ would share in making the QSOs. They wud go from a rig combination to another rig (xcvr or rcvr/xmt combo), about 25-30 possibilities. Other contestants around the USA had less to work with and lost by  BIG margins, nobody close at all.
