Well no,

You’re not the odd man out Joel. I’m running DX4Win too. It has a daily update feature and syncs with the DXpedition calendar. I ran DX Log - a DOS program for years from about 1989 until 2004 which was damned near flawless with a good DX spotting alert from the cluster that brought up all your stats on-screen for the entity spotted. It also had rig and rotor control features and could sync with CT. After 2000 however it would not recognize the date and that required me forcing the code to accept year 2000 upward at boot up. That became tedious. DX4Win has a similar feature and has the rig and better automation control features. I tried it out and liked it.

Side note: Long time ADXA member Charles Tillotson and I were probably the last guys still running DX Log in 2004...

It has a lot of good feature with rig control, rotor control, etc if you like that sort of thing. Also has LoTW provisions to upload and download confirmations seamlessly.
