KH1/KH7Z, Baker-Howland Island group will be on starting at early as tonight at 05Z but no later than tomorrow at about this time if all goes well. This is an ATNO for thousands of DXers and is rated from 5-6th on most worldwide needed polls.

This will likely be the last time of an operation from there for at least 10 more years. The F and W Department is strict on applications and enforces stern requirements to protect wildlife and the land per se. Take out some time and get in the pileups and log a couple of QSOs … NOW.

Old Timers, please work this group at least on SSB and CW and fill in your band modes, etc. Good luck. Stay up late or get up early, as the prime times are from our 8PM to our 9AM, especially 80-30m and with ? 15/17 marginally. During the day after 10AM our time, the only bands open will be 20 and 17m. Results may vary a little based on your antenna farm.
