[ADXA] K5YY Ligtning Strike

Just heard from San. The lightning strike was within 50 yards of his QTH, but fortunately not a direct hit. The surge damaged one of his ICOM power supplies, internet modem, and home phones...but San seemed most upset that it knocked out his 'TeleBouncer.' Now he has to deal with the telemarketers again!
San thinks that he and the carload of ham buddies were just seconds away from having been struck by the lightning bolt. It reportedly struck the street where they had just passed-by, on their way to the club meeting. A neighbor described it as a 'huge ball of bright light' the size of a bicycle.
I'm sure San will have more to add once he gets more household items sorted out.

Nothing heard from him Ron!!!
Thanks for letting us know. Hopefully all is OK at the YY plantation.
We could certainly could use some rain here in the Searcy area. We have
only had about a quarter inch of rain in the past two months and it is
extremely dry here. Don't want the lightning, though!!!
If you hear something regarding San's situation please let us know.
