[ADXA] Help for 160m antenna

A friend of mine is trying 160 for first time. Put up a double bazooka.
Please see his
comments below. If any of you 160 experts have any suggestions, I would
appreciate

Not real happy with it as the SWR is about 2.8 to 1 and tuning up and down
the 160 band it does not move higher or lower.It should have a resonant
point that I could either fold back or extend the legs to resonance.Never
had one act this way.I am using my Elecraft tuner which works well but
should not have to use a tuner at all.Any thoughts on what is wrong.The top
is 60 ft and ends are about 15 ft off the ground and not near tower or
other antennas.

If you know someone who has a double bazooka for 160 ask them some
questions about SWR.I raised the ends up to 25 ft with no change either
way.I added about 20ft of coax feed line and no change.About all that’s
left for me to do is take out about 25-30 ft of coax and see what happens
but that will have to wait till weather is better.I have a double bazooka
on 80 which works great and you can shorten or lengthen the legs and SWR
will be flat at where ever you want it.The 160 should do the same.Maybe I
will try a plain inverted V next time.
