My vertical read him 229 on average, and the vertical can not do LP as your directional beam can. Ugggh. Like LPL said in his ADXA talk, we need horizontal antennas above 160m, always!! So guess I need to install a 40m inverted V next Spring and take down my vertical completely which I use on 80-30 only. Can I operate REMOTE thru your system until then? HI My solution: Just turn the radio off if the station is not at least a Q3-4, otherwise no chance here. I did that after calling for 30 minutes and not really being able to copy but a R2 usually. And others calling 1 KC up were much stronger than I. A 229 means stop calling!! HI So I did.
