Subject: TX5T delayed

Even with scheduled air, “stuff” happens. We got all our gear checked in and took off from Tahiti just after lunch today. An hour and a half later. we were circling the Austal island of Tubuai and listening to the pilot say if the weather didn’t break in 30 minutes,  we’d have to head back to Tahiti. We did land but the wind and rain were blowing hard. So we refueled and headed back. So close!  It would have only been a quick hop over to Raivavae but it would have required another tricky landing.

We’re rebooked for a 7 am departure Wednesday morning. That could get us on the air by 2300Z. Keep your fingers crossed!
