[ADXA] September Meeting Report

We had a very nice meeting in September and thanks to our gracious host
Ken K5ALQ for a nice venue, nice meal and a great demo about Air Traffic
Control.

Two things to note from the meeting.

1. We had a very good discussion about our newsletter. As previously noted
we have a great looking newsletter, a very dedicated editor who does an
excellent job assembling and distributing the newsletter but we lack
content. Several of you agreed (names will remain anonymous until we need
to convict you!) to submit material so let's not forget that. You can send
it to Glenn anytime!

2. We had an initial round of nominations for officers and directors for
2018. There will be opportunity to nominate others during our meeting in
December so this does not mean nominations are closed. The initial
nominations for 2018 are:
     President Joel Harrison W5ZN
     Vice President Pat Patterson, W5VY
     Sec/Treasurer Glenn Wolf, N5RN
     Director Earl Smith, N5ZM
     Director Roger Gray, N5QS

Planning is complete for the December convention. We are finalizing the
registration form for the website and expect to go live with it in a day
or two. Registration will be $30 and includes the lunch. We will also have
a few prizes. DX Engineering has donated a $100 gift certification, ARRL
has donated a $50 and two $25 gift certificates and there will be a couple
of other items. Will drop a note to the reflector when the registration
goes live.
