[ADXA] Paying Your Dues !!!!

It seems we all must pay our dues in life, whether professionally,
socially or even ethically to reach a point in life where we believe we
need to be.

And so it is with ADXA to be a member! Fortunately, paying your ADXA dues
is a heck of a lot easier than paying "life dues" to achieve a personal
point in time and it is now easier than ever as you can renew right on our
website!

This has been stated several times but is worth repeating as it is
important for you to know exactly what your ADXA dues are used for. ADXA
dues are used solely to fund DXPeditions and nothing else. Cost for the
convention we just held was NOT funded by membership dues. Any meeting
costs we have have are taken care of by special donation and we do not
have any operating costs, thanks to the volunteers who make our
organization work!

So who decides what DXPeditions your dues are used for?? ADXA actually has
a policy and applies that criteria when considering who to fund. To begin,
the DXPedition must be to a "Top 50" most needed country. We're not about
to help fund someone's "vacation" to KH6! Once a request is received, the
Executive Committee evaluates the request and then makes a recommendation
to the membership at our quarterly meeting to fund the DXPedition at a
specific level. That recommendation is then acted upon by the membership.

So, we all have a say as to how our dues money is spent. Sure, there may
be some unique situation arise where a request is considered for funding
outside our policy however no action is taken without a membership vote at
our meeting.

ADXA dues run annually by calendar year, so it is time to pay for 2018. If
you have paid in the past couple of weeks, joined at our meeting last week
our in the past couple of days you are good for 2018.
