[ADXA] DX Comments

I sure enjoy reading (listening) to the DX wins/losses of the Ark DX Gang.
Lots of memories, although I've never had the chance to be a big time
DXer hi.... I did manage to catch K5P on 12 cw. Remember out here in
Albuquerque I only manage (too lazy I guess) to have an inverted V for
one band up on the flat roof. So every time I want a different band I have
to climb up and change it. Earl suggested I listen for the VP8 on 30 so I
went up yesterday and changed it. About 0200 I could actually hear him
about 449 for about 15 min and then into the mud. I called a few times but
he was
working East Coast and some 9's....oh, well, at least I heard him which was
more than I thought I would do. A little later I checked back... in the mud
here but I could hear San K5YY calling him (get him??).... maybe I'll listen
again tonight if I'm not watching football. You guys talking of 160 and 80
contacts with such places amaze me! Congrats.... Rick AI5P
