On January 26th the VP8STI team will start to take down their antennas for
the higher bands. Remember their sunrise is around 0530z (11:30 PM local
time) so your last chance for this rare DX will be Monday. The low band
antennas will stay up until January 27th morning (Tuesday night around
midnight our time). They are scheduled to depart South Sandwich and head
to South Georgia on the afternoon of January 27th. South Georgia Island is
the #8 most wanted DXCC. They expect to arrive in Husvik Bay on the
afternoon of January 30th and probably start operation sometime on January
31.

You still have a couple more days to work South Sandwich if you haven't
already. Their signal has been very strong here on 30 meters in the
evenings. Yea, there is still a big pileup but if you haven't worked this
one get in there!

K5P Palmyra is still scheduled to end on January 25th. The pileups have
died down so if you need this one NOW is the time. I was listening to them
on 80 meters this morning on another rig with my 75 meter inverted vee and
they were very strong prior and through our sunrise up to about 1345z.
