[ADXA] Report from ADXA Annual Meeting

The Arkansas DX Association held its annual meeting on Saturday, December
3 in North Little Rock, Arkansas with around 20 members and guests
present.

It was really great to have Glenn, N5RN back on his feet and able to
attend. It was also a very pleasant surprise to have Bill, W5SJ, and Jim,
K5JUC, with us from Fort Smith.

We had a great program thanks for W5VY, W5RZ and W5SJ. The programs were:
1. The New ADXA Website - W5VY
2. Short Verticals for Low Band Receiving - W5ZN
3. DX'ing via EME - W5RZ
4. Solid State High Power Amplifiers - W5SJ

Prior to the program we held our annual business meeting with the
following action:

1. Officers and Board members elected for 2017:
   President Joel Harrison, W5ZN
   Vice President Pat Patterson, W5VY
   Secretary/Treasurer Glenn Wolf, N5RN
   Board Member - Frank Fahrlander, N7FF
   Board Member - Earl Smith, N5ZM

2. Meeting Dates & Locations for 2017
   March 4, 2017 Russellville, Arkansas (Hamfest)
   June 17, 2017 Northwest Arkansas
   September 16, 2017 Little Rock, AR (Hamfest)
   December 2, 2017 TBD

3. The new ADXA Website is about to go live. We are working the last
detail, an ADXA PayPal account to handle on-line renewals/memberships.
Once that is established and verified we will go live. There will still be
some things to refine, update and set up however everyone should
understand a website is a "living" tool for us to use and will continually
evolve. Many thanks for W5VY for all his work on this and interfacing with
Scot KA9FOX who set up the initial format.
