[ADXA] Today's ADXA meeting

Hi all,

I don't want to take anything away from our newsletter with this note but I wanted to bring everyone up to speed on a couple of items from today's ADXA meeting.

SEPTEMBER MEETING LOCATIONS

We discussed the possibility of moving the location of future 3rd quarter meetings (September) to be closer to (or perhaps at) the same venue as the annual Little Rock hamfest that occurs on the same date. The idea is that attendence at both events might benefit. A motion was passed to move the  next September meeting location to the Little Rock area and, if possible, near to or at the hamfest location. The motion also stipulated that if the meeting location was at the ham fest location, those who were there only to attend the ADXA meeting would not be required to pay a hamfest entry fee.  Ken Blevins agreed to look into the details of making this happen.

CLUB OFFICER ELECTIONS

Elections of club officers will occur at our next meeting. I thank the membership in helping to select the following candidates:

President: 2 candidates
     Frank Fahrlander, N7FF
     Joe Harrison, W5ZN

Vice President: 2 candidates
      Ken Blevins, K5ALQ
      Pat Patterson, W5VY

Treasurer Secretary: 1 candidate
      Glenn Wolfe, N5RN


DECEMBER MEETING
                   
The December meeting will likely be held in North Little Rock at the Old Chicago Pizza restaurant. Dave Norris will be trying to get us a video of interest for the meeting. I'll be bringing some show and tell also. So, plan on joining us on December 5th.
