Obituary:
F. Martin Hankins, age 89, of Warren, Ark. died Sunday, September 13th 
in Little Rock, Ark. He was born May 3, 1920 in Warren, a son of the 
late Charles Felton Hankins and Harriett Athleen Martin Hankins. He was 
the retired owner and manager of C.W. Hankins and Sons, a United States 
Navy Veteran serving in WWII as an electronics instructor. He was a life 
long Presbyterian serving as an elder and choir member for over 60 
years. He was a life time member of the Warren Rotary Club and a member 
of the Board of Directors for the Warren Bank and Trust for 50 years. He 
was an active amateur radio operator (W5HTY) for 50 years serving as 
president of the Arkansas DXers Association (ADXA). He was a lifetime 
member of the Fair and Marketing Board, a certified personal pilot, and 
the descendant of Captain Hugh Bradley, founder of Bradley County 
Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lily Margaret Godwin 
Hankins, whom he married November 2, 1941 and she died March 15, 1987. 
Also preceding him in death was a sister, Betty Hankins Henry. Survivors 
include a son, Dr. Martin Hankins Jr. of Eugene, Oregon; a daughter 
Chris Hankins Dean of Little Rock, Ark.; a grandson, Shannon Harrison 
(Stephanie) of Maumelle Ark.; and a great-grandson, Rickey Harrison also 
of Maumelle, and a sister, Harriett Hankins McClendon of Little Rock, 
Ark. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral 
services will be 4:30PM Wednesday, September 16th at the First 
Presbyterian Church of Warren, Ark. Burial in Oakland Cemetery by 
Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:30PM-8:30PM Tuesday at 
Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.
