[ADXA] YASME Info

At the last couple of ADXA meetings there have been discussion about the
history of the YASME Foundation, the YASME Awards and their continuing
support for DXing and the promotion of Amateur Radio in underdeveloped
countries.  Info about YASME is available on their web site: www.yasme.org
<http://www.yasme.org/>    The YASME book "YASME - The Danny Weil and Colvin
Radio Expeditions" is a great history of some of the early DXpeditions.
Reading Danny Weil's account of his activity from Clipperton as FO8AN in
1960 should make you think twice before being critical of a DXpedition's
operating practices, etc. 

 

If you have YASME awards or other memorabilia please bring them and the
associated stories to the ADXA meeting on Saturday, March 21st.
