5H     - 5H3TSA will be active on 20 and 15 metres (+/- 14290 kHz and  21360
          kHz) for Tanzaree 2009, the Tanzania National Scouts jamboree  that
          will be held at Mbeya, southern Tanzania on 12-19 June. QSL  direct

7X     - Bureaucratic hitches have caused Mike, DB1JAW to cancel  his  13-20
          June visit to Algeria [425DXN 944]. He was expected  to  be  active
          as 7X/DB1JAW and to attend the International Sahara  Meeting.  [TNX

8R     - Dave/N3DB  &  Chris/W3CMP  as  8R1DB  (from  16  to  26  June)  and
          Terry/K4RX & Ken/AC4TO as 8R1TO (from  27  June  to  6  July)  will

9H     - Giorgio, IV3EPO will be active holiday style as  9H3EP  from  Malta
          (EU-023) on 23-29 June. He plans to operate almost  exclusively  CW

CE0Y   - VK9LA (Lord Howe island) veterans Stan/SQ8X  and  Vicky/SV2KBS  are
          looking for one or two operators to join  a  DXpedition  to  Easter
          Island (SA-001) from 31 October to 15 November. "It's not top  most
          wanted DXCC", they say, "but there is  still  a  strong  demand  on
          contacts with that entity - especially in  Europe,  which  will  be
          our main target". They plan to have two  stations  up  and  running
          for almost two weeks  and  to  operate  as  CE0Y/homecall.  Further

DU     - Gerard, F2JD is back to the Philippines for at least  five  months.
          He hopes to be able to renew his previous licence  (DU1/G0SHN)  and

F      - Special event callsign TM6SCH will be  in  use  on  15-28  June  to
          commemorate the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the  city  of
          Cherbourg. Expect activity on 80-10 metres  CW  and  SSB.  QSL  via

F      - Francois, F5JNE will be active from Belle Ile (EU-048, DIFM AT-015)
          on 16-24 June. He plans to operate CW only  on  40  and  20  metres
          during his evening hours. On 20 June he expects to go and  operate,
          along with Max/F5IRH, from nearby Ile  aux  Chevaux  (EU-048,  DIFM

F      - F1UGV, F4BJW, F5DBC, F5NLR and F5SRH will operate  CW  and  SSB  as
          TM5DUM  from  Dumet  Island  (EU-064)  on  20-21  June.  QSL    via

F      - Jean-Pierre,  F6ITD  will  be  active  as  F6ITD/p  from  Belle-Ile
          (EU-048) on 20-28 June. He will operate SSB only on 10, 15, 20,  40

F      - Commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth  of  radioactivity
          pioneer and Nobel laureate  Pierre  Curie,  special  event  station
          TM7RPC will be active from 21 June to 5 July. [TNX F1SIU]
FO     - Phil, F5PHW will be living and working on Tahiti, French  Polynesia
          for two years (August 2009-July 2011). He plans  to  be  active  as
          FO/F5PHW (but he will also try to get a FO5 callsign upon  arrival)
          and to operate CW, RTTY and some  SSB  on  80-10  metres.  QSL  via

FT5G   - The French military amateur radio  operators  who  will  be  active
          from  Ile  de  la  Grande  Glorieuse  (AF-011)  on  9-28  July  are
          Philippe/F4EGS,  Freddy/F5IRO,  Yves-Michel/F5PRU,  Jean-Marc/F5RQQ
          and Sylvain/F5TLN. Their  trip  to  Glorioso  is  first  of  all  a
          military operation, not a DXpedition.  At  all  events,  they  will
          have four complete stations with amplifiers, three Spiderbeams  for
          the higher bands, verticals for 40 and 80  metres,  an  Inverted  L
          for 160 metres and a K9AY array receiving system, plus a  G5RV  for
          6 metres. They plan to  be  QRV  during  both  the  IARU  HF  World
          Championship and the IOTA  Contest.  Requested  callsign  is  FT5GA

GM     - Jurij, MM0DFV and John, GM0WRR will be  active  portable  from  the
          Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park during  the  WFF  Green
          Days (http://wff44.com/en/contest/) on 13-14  June.  They  plan  to
          operate SSB, CW and PSK. A  special  colourful  QSL  card  will  be

GM     - Members of the Workington and  District  Amateur  Radio  Club  will
          operate as MS0WRC  from  the  Island  of  Barra  (EU-010)  from  26
          September  to  2  October.  The  team  will  include   Steve/G0MTD,
          Paul/M1PAF,  Mark/M0WCR  and  Glyn/M3XUH,  and  they  will  operate

GW     - The Grantham Amateur Radio Club (http://www.garc.org.uk/)  will  be
          active as GB0YG  from Holy Island  (Ynys  Gybi,  EU-124)  on  24-29

I      - Alex, IK8YFU, and Giovanna, IZ8FEV  will  be  active  as  IF9/IQ8PP
          from Favignana Island (EU-054, IIA TP-011) on 18-25 July.  QSL  via

JA     - Look for 7N4AGB/6, JA1KJW/6, JA1XEQ/6, JJ1JGI/6 and JK1EBA/6 to  be
          active from the Daito Islands (AS-047) from 25 June to 5 July,  and
          from Tokashiki Island (AS-017) on 7-10 July. They plan  to  operate
          CW and SSB on 160-6 metres, with an emphasis on the low bands.  QSl

JA     - Look for JJ2JQF/0 and JH9UYZ/0 to be active on all bands and  modes
          from Awa Island (AS-117) on 26-30 June. QSL via home calls,  direct

JT     - Giampiero, I5NOC will be active as JT1NOC from  Mongolia  on  12-29
          June. He will operate CW and SSB on 10-80  metres,  and  will  also

KH2    - 7L4CEC, JA1BVY, JA1CJP, JA1HOD, JH1EMT, JJ1CDY, JL1FYW  and  JR1QCQ
          expect to be signing  KH2/homecall  from  Guam  (OC-026)  until  14
          June. Look for them on 160-6 metres CW, SSB and possibly RTTY.  QSL

KL     - The KL7RRC  team  (KE7V,  N3QQ  and  UA9OBA)  has  been  active  as
          KL7RRC/p from Ogliuga Island (NA-233) [425DXN 943] since  10  June.
          They plan to remain there until 14 June, then,  depending  on  boat
          availability, they might go and operate as KL7RRC/a  from  the  Rat

LA     - LA1MNA, LA1LSA, LA5ZN and LA9RY will be active on 6 metres and  the

PA     - Celebrating his Silver Jubilee with amateur radio,  Adriaan,  PE2KP
          (previous callsign PE1KHP, www.pe2kp.nl) will be  active  again  as

SM     - Jorgen, SM3CXS will be active as SG3U from Trasko  Island  (EU-084)
          until 16 June and from Grimskar Island (EU-176) on 18-21  June.  He

SV     - Elizabeth/K4KTG, Michael/KC6ZUS and Jonathan/KI4UOU will be  active
          as SV/K4KTG from Thira (Santorini) Island (EU-067) between 15  June

SV5    - Pandelis  (SV5AZP), Stathis (SV5DKL), Dionisis (SV5FRD), Panagiotis
          (SV5AZK)  and Yiannis  (SV5FRI) will  be active as SX5SYMI from the
          island of Symi, Dodecanese (EU-001) from 31  July to 3 August. They
          plan  to  operate SSB, CW  and RTTY on 160-6 metres.  QSL direct to

SV9    - Ron, WB2GAI is celebrating his Golden Jubilee in amateur radio  and
          will be active again as SV9/WB2GAI/p from Crete from 21  August  to
          5 October. He will operate CW on  80-17  metres.  QSL  via  bureau.

TZ     - Ed/W0SD, Arliss/W7XU and Holly/N0QJM will be active as  TZ6EI  from
          Bamako, Mali from 26 June to 5 July [425DXN  941].  Although  their
          primary focus will be 6 metres on 50103 kHz,  there  will  be  RTTY
          operation  concurrent  with  activity  on  6m,  plus  CW  and   SSB
          operation at night after six meter  sporadic  E  is  over.  The  HF
          bands will likely to be limited to 30, 20 and 17  metres.  QSL  via

UA     - Look for RN1AW/p, RV1AQ/p and UA1ATI/p to be active  from  Peschany
          Island (EU-133, RR-01-14)  on  15-23  June.  QSL  via  home  calls,

UA     - Alik, RX9WN  will  be  active  as  RX9WN/0  from  Kharantsy  Island
          (RR-21-12) and possibly also Olkhon Island  (RR-21-01)  between  19
          and 21 June. Both the islands are located in  Lake  Baikal  and  do

UR     - Members of the Ternopil  Amateur  Radio  Club  will  be  active  as
          UR4BZB/p from Medobory  Nature  Reserve  on  12-14  June.  QSL  via

UR     - Vladimir, UU6JJ plans to be  active  from  the  lighthouse  at  Mys
          Lukull (ARLHS UKR-135) on 13-14 June. He will operate CW  and  some

VE     - Rene, DL2JRM was active as VE1/DL2JRM from Bells Island (NA-081)  a
          couple of days ago, and will operate again as VE1/DL2JRM from  Long
          Island (NA-127) on 13-15 June. Look for him  on  80-10  metres  CW.

VE     - George,  WW4GA  will  be  active  as  WW4GA/VO1  from  Newfoundland
          (NA-027) from 18 June to 9 July. QSL  direct  to  home  call.  [TNX

VE     - Mike, K9AJ  and  Bruce,  KD6WW  will  be  active  as  K9AJ/VY0  and
          KD6WW/VY0 from Thomson Island (NA-185) from the  local  evening  on
          31 July through the local morning of 3 August. They will  have  two
          stations and  will  operate  CW  and  SSB  around  the  usual  IOTA
          frequencies. QSL via home calls. The NA-185 IOTA group is  offshore
          Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, on the western shore of Hudson Bay  and  was
          activated only once by NU2L/VE8 back in 1993. [TNX K9AJ]
YU     - Special prefixes YU2009, YT2009, YU09, YT09, YT25 and YU25 will  be
          in use  from  12  June  to  12  July  to  promote  the  XXV  Summer
          Universiade  (the  World  University  Games  organized    by    the
          International University Sports Federation) that will  be  held  in

YV     - The Radio Club Venezolano  will be  active  as YW9A  from the  rare

PACIFIC TOUR 2009 ---> Karl-Heinz, DL2FAG  will  be  active  from  Niue  and
Samoa in October and November as follows:
19/10-07/11    ZK2DL    Niue Island (OC-040)
17/11-30/11    5W0KH    Upolu Island, Samoa (OC-097)
He plans to operate mainly RTTY, PSK  and  SSB  on  10-80  metres,  using  a
Triple  leg multiband and dipoles. After Niue and before Samoa he will  will
be  visiting New Zealand's  South Island (OC-134) and be active sporadically

PACIFIC TOUR 2010 ---> Wallis Island has been added to the itinerary of  the
22-day  Pacific tour that is being organized to take place next year [425DXN
929].  A multi-national  team  of 14 operators  led  by Hrane, YT1AD will be
active from Tokelau (ZK3, 30 September-3 October), Central Kiribati (T31, 5-
10 October)  and Wallis Island  (FW, 12-14 October). Details are expected in

CQ SIXTY METRES ---> Sixty  metres  enthusiasts  can  find  lots  of  useful
information at http://www.60meters.net/, including  information  on  current
and upcoming DX activities on 5 MHz gathered by Joe, W8GEX.

ILES EPARSES ---> Previously placed under the administration of the  prefect
of  Reunion,  the  so-called  Iles  Eparses  (Scattered  Islands,  including
Europa, Juan de Nova, Glorioso and Tromelin) have been administered  by  the
French Southern and Antarctic Lands (TAAF) since 3  January  2005  and  have
constituted the TAAF 5th district since  21  February  2007.  Amateur  radio
callsigns will be  affected  by  the  change  as  follows:  Europa  =  FT#E,
Glorioso = FT#G, Juan de Nova = FT#J, Tromelin = FT#T.

QSL 9J2FR & 9J2AA ---> Claudio, IK2RZQ says he  still  has  logs  and  blank
cards for either Renzo/9J2FR and Rosa Angela/9J2AA.  Requests  can  be  sent
direct or via the bureau.

QSL HV50VR ---> Please note that the  new  QSL  route  is  via  IV3KKW:  the
person in charge is still Alessandro Carletti (formerly  known  as  IW0GPN),
who received his brand new callsign a few  days  ago.  QSL  direct  only  or
LoTW. Alex says  that  all  of  the  requests  received  so  far  have  been
processed and mailed.

SOUTH AFRICA ---> Effective 10 June,  amateur  radio  operators  from  South
Africa have full access to the 40m band (7000-7200 kHz),  and  ZR  licencees
