Don't forget that the deadline for the Lone Star DX
Association's Ham Com DX dinner (June 13) is May 30.

Eric Scace of the recent Ducie Island DXpedition will
be the guest speaker.  I heard Eric's presentation at
the Visalia DX Convention and its great!!!!!!  Totally
different from most DXpedition dinner presentations.

Ninety DXers have signed up already for the dinner,
don't you be left out.

The Lone Star DX Association's hospitality room will
be open after the DX dinner at the same hotel, the
Holiday Inn Express in Plano.

Also we'll have the usual plethora of door prizes both
for the DX dinner and the DX programs on June 13 and
June 14. Dinner door prizes include a Bird Model 43
PWR/SWR Meter and elenment certificate, a Daiwa CN801
Dual needle SWR/PWR meter, a W2IHY 8 band mike
equalizer, $200+ Buddipole gift certificate, A Fluke
333 Camlp on AMPMETER and DMM, an Alpha Radio Products
4500 series SWR/PWR meter, and even more door prizes.
We don't forget the XYLs and YLs either.  There will
be a YL/XYL only drawing for a DX QUILT handmade by
Elva Hardie, XYL of Bob Hardie W5UQ.  Elva is also
donating a certificate for a handmade dust cover for
any rig.

and purchase your tickets for the DX dinner. Dinner
tickets are $36 each.

The Ham Com web site will also have a listing of DX
door prizes and donors and complete DX program
schedule.

For all you DX and otherwise erstwhile CW ops the
LSDXA is sponsoring its first annual QLF-CW contest on
June 13 (QSO by LEFT FOOT).  More details and times
will be announced after the Dayton Hamvention next
week. There will be BIG PRIZES for the top finishers
in this competition.  We might also have some
"consolation" prizes for those who don't finish very
well either.
