It's always sad to hear of a fellow ham passing away.  In this case, it
is especially disturbing as Jose, YV5LIX was one of the operators on the
YX0A  Aves Island DXpedition.  The following message was just received
from Steve, W4DTA.

Hi All, 
I received sad news from the crew at Aves, long time friend Jose YV5LIX
suffered a heart attack at around 4:00 am YV time, the Medical Doctors
(YV5EED and YV5IVB) with the group could not resusitate Jose.

As you all can imagine, the group is under shock with this, the navy
sent the ship's helipcopter to the Island to pick up Jose's body and
Ramon YV5EED is flying back to the ship which will take the body back to
Caracas.

My understanding is that the group got authorization to use YX0LIX as a
tribute to Jose. I am still trying to get over the news, and at the same
time pass the word around regarding the situation as you might all have
seen spots all over the clusters.
