Subject: Ham-Com 2006 date & location announced...
Date: Mon, 1 Aug 2005 13:33 -0500
From: office at hamcom.org
Ham-Com 2006 will be held at the Plano Centre, in Plano, TX, June 9-10 (Friday
and Saturday), 2006. The event will open at 7:00 a.m. on both days.
Commercial exhibitors and table-top vendors will remain open until 6:00 p.m. on
Friday and Saturday. Classes will run until 9:00 p.m. both days.
Look for complete details about the event on the Ham-Com web site at
http://www.hamcom.org/ after Labor Day 2005.
I almost forgot to mention that the Ham-Com, Inc. Board of Directors met their
goal of reducing prices for everything from exhibitor booths to admission.
Here's the QST:
- Commercial exhibtor booths - $250.00
- Tabletop vendors - $20.00 (two (2) days)
- Tabletop vendors - Saturday only price ($10.00)
- Parking - FREE! (did we say "FREE?")
- Overflow parking - FREE with shuttle bus at no charge!
- Admission: $7.00 online; $8.00 at the event
There is space for ~72 commercial booths and 200 tables (the outdoor table are
under covered porticos. There is also space for twelve (12) 8 x 8 canopies in
the enclosed courtyard. These spaces will be available at the $10.00,
Saturday-only price.
The prices for Ham-Com 2006 are substantially lower than for the 2005 event.
Commercial exhibitor space sold for $325.00, tabletops cost $35.00, admission
was $9.00 online/$10.00 at the event and, of course, the infamous parking fee
was $5.00 per day (did we say parking was FREE?).
Out-of-town visitors will enjoy lower hotel rates than at our previous
location. Group rates in Plano, TX will run from $59.00 to $79.00 per night.
Food and beverage should be more reasonable and we promise not to pump anything
into the air that will induce you to buy $4.00 hot dogs and $2.00 soft drinks.
The Ham-Com, Inc. Board of Directors thinks that the venue in Plano will
serve the event's needs for the next five to ten years.
You're among the first to know...
