Ho ho ho, and what is under ur Xmas tree this year?????

Hope it is a contact or two with VU4 !!! The team continues to try with all
their might and stamina. Bharathi's eyes are now slits, but she hammers on
and on. Saraha and the other guys took me to the best India dinner I have
ever had this noon.... I can't name the dishes, but I want some more....
tomorrow.

1. About 40 meters....2 of the stations have 40 m antennas including trap
verts, inverted Vees, and regualr dipoles. Sarah's station had its 40 m
dipole repositioned for N/S radiation and they are going to put much effort
on 40m for this week. 7.004 + or- CW ..... NA SSB, I am told, is just
impossible due to foreign b'cast in the American phone band. I tried tuning
around there in the middle of the night and it was wall-to-wall 40 over and
more... nary a crack to hope to hear ham sigs in that mess. Andaman has a
transmitter on 7.115, for example.

1.1 Yes, they are on 80 CW and 160m .... dipoles.... don't stop listening
for them./

2. Saraha is doing RTTY and PSK from time to time.

3. The Cushcraft WARC yagi turns out to be the best antenna performer we
have here.... It is on top of a flat roof of a 4 story dorm bldg. WARC is
getting lots of play this week.... there is some doubt about 30 meters
amoung the team.... I personally do not know its status but see an op
working there.

4. I have repeatedly advised the team two items.... point the beams North
(not easily turned) and WORK FROM 1000 Z TO 1400 Z for North America. Can't
tell u how many times I have relayed that message.

5. The 15m band pass filter arrived here on Xmas eve.... BIG thanks to
NN6EE for having the thoughtfullness to send it good old U. S. Post Air Mail
Parcel. Great delivery directly to this hotel. I paid $31.00 duty on it
and it will go into service this hour.

And to all: much calling and working VU4 and to all a good night !!!!

food)
