Dear Colleagues:



Many of you have sent e-mails requesting an update on Ron Wright's,
ZL1AMO, condition.  Ron's daughter, Terri, informs us of the following.



Ron was in Fiji, operating as 3D2RW.  His lungs collapsed and he was
taken to Lautoka Hospital.  He was diagnosed with pneumonia and was
placed on life support.  A few days later an air ambulance was
dispatched from New Zealand and Ron was transported back to New Zealand
where he remains in the critical care unit at Auckland Hospital.  He is
unconscious and his kidneys are not functioning as well as they should.
The family waits and hopes, and so do his many friends in the amateur
radio community.
