Andy is right.  We don't buy TV hardline around here.  Several of us have
quite a bit, all you have to do is ask.

Regarding the question of burying unjacketed as it is called, DON'T  The
acid in the soil will cause the line to go bad in about 2-3 years.  I use
unjacketed going up my towers and put a connector in at the base where it
joins the jacketed buried line.  Some of my buried line is over 15 years
and appears to be still functioning perfectly.

By the way,  there was a time when the cable companies were bagging us to
haul away their reel ends(about 200 footers) so they wouldn't have to pay
the trash people to haul them away.  Today most of the cable lines are
switching to fiber and there is only a limited amount of the hardline in
use by the companies.  I would suspect we could still get most of what they
have for free but now we seem to have plenty stockpiled...just ask.
