[ACARS] Acars decoder for Linux.

Hi Klaas,

Tnx for the fast response and offer to help.
I will try myself first, as I want to get hands-on experience in this (for me new) Linux area.
Had a Unix training about 30 years ago but never realy worked much with it, so the only thing I think I remember is the ls -lh command :-)

So far I only downloaded the latest Raspbian Wheezy OS and used Win32DiskImager to copy the image to an 4GB SD card.
What puzzled me is that the SD now shows
Capacity 55,9 MB
Used 18,5MB
Free 37,4 MB
Not sure what happened to the rest of the 4GB, but I guess this is what the image looked like and that I have to either create a partition or use a different program to get the image on the SD card.
I have a lot to learn, I'm sure :-)

The link works and I have downloaded the .tgz.

I have not looked into it myself but understand that MultiPSK supports the dongle as well.
What it makes special is that it seems that MultiPSK uses the whole bandwidth and will decode all ACARS frequencies within that band.
That would be new/great as you can cover at least 3 active freq's.

To much interesting things but not enough time to play.

Cheers,
Dick ((PA-2015, NL-13560, Apeldoorn)

  Hi Klaas,

Found and translated the link, but can't find the download.
Can you give me a hint or a link?

  My Raspberry Pi arrived yesterday.
My intention is to use it with one of my RTL2832U R820T dongles for Mode-S.

  gegroet,
  Dick
