[ACARS] Acars here to stay!

If I read this article correctly it uses ACARS as a more general term not specifying whether it is being used on VHF (this groups 
main interest), HFDL or via satelite.

I personally monitor the VHF and HF implementation. Is it possible to monitor the satelite one as well and can someone point me in 
the right direction?
