Hi all,
Triggered by a post from Joe (thanks) in one of the ACARS related groups I discovered a whole new angle to decoding acars messages.
It seems that due to special VHF conditions you sometimes receive messages over a much larger distance than you normally would think
possible.
So I manually checked part of my logs and found these squitter messages that contain the groundstation ID and sometimes its
coordinates and frequency.

My best DX so far (but still have to make a small program to automatically searchall my logs) is this one from Athens/Ellinikon
