Hi Michael,
Can you be more specific on how far you succeeded, what operating system you are using, etc?
What other program did you use before? Can we conclude that the audio from the radio reaches your
PC?
Can you hear the radio on the PC-speakers?
By default ACARSD used the default sounddevice (0).
Now if your PC configuration has more then one sounddevice (an additional webcam) it is possible
ACARSD is trying to decode from the wrong source.
See the following line in the acarsd.ini:
#SoundDevice
The # in the first position means that this onption is disabled and the default value is used.
If you have more sounddevices enable the option (remove the #) and add a number 1 so it looks like
this:
SoundDevice 1
Also make sure that the right input source on the sounddevice is selected.
Go to your PC's recording control. Select the right sounddevice and tfrom that device the right
input, preferably "line-in" (if that is where you plugged in your radio).
In the middle on the bottom of the ACARSD screen you will notice something like this.
(vol 0,26|0|0|0)
It shows the volume of each of the (maximum 4) sounddevices tACARSD supports.
In this sample only the first device is selected and shows a volumelevel of 0 for the right en 26
for the left channel.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Dick
