Just a thought.....
If one of the I.F (intermediate freqs) of a scanning radio is 10.7Mhz, (which is a
common frequency to chose), a down-market scanner, which could well have an input
filter as wide as a barn door, MAY pick up transmissions on a frequency which is
the NORMAL frequency plus and/or minus TWICE the intermediate frequency.
108.85 + 10.7 + 10.7 = 130.25 Mcs
Are there any transmisions on THAT frequency in the affected area(s) ?
