[ACARS] External Amplified Antenna -URGENT HELP-

Hi List

I need some help or suggestions from list members.

I bough the following equipment from Universal Radio
(http://www.universal-radio.com) :

DX500 RF Systems wideband amplified antenna (frequency range 30 Khz to 550
Mhz)
DX500/1 Control unit
SP-3 Two way antenna splitter/combiner for scanners

After conected all equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions
using the with the best cable (RG59) I can't receive ACARS msgs or listen
correctly teh Airband (?) !!!
Other bands (ex: Police at 400 Mhz) don't have any problem...

I can't either plug in my Watson WRP125 pre-amplier or AOR ABF125 filter as
the scanner (Realistic PRO-25) begans with a strong noise interference !!!
I tried to put away from scanner the 12V DC adaptors and the DX500/1 control
unit but without any sucess !!!

Conclusion: I can�t pick up any ACARS or Airband signal using or not
pre-amplifiers or filters...!!!

After all afternoon losing ACARS msgs I decided to stop tests and turn ON
the original equipment near the window:

9 Extension Radio Shack internal antenna
AOR ABF125 Filter
Watson WRP-125 Pre-Amplifier
Realistic PRO-25 Scanner

...and it's working perfecty !!!

I would appreciate any help or comment from list members with experience in
this kind of problems as I'm a rookie dealing with external equipment.
