[ACARS] network DDE

Hi All,

after some time of testing and trying I can now feed data from Airmaster
2000 and Selcal decoder running each on separate PCs directly via network
DDE into AirnavSuite 4. The latter runs on my main PC and in parallel
PC-HFDL is running there. As PC-HFDL needs a lot of processor power and
AirnavSuite does so too, this makes sense (on my PIII 550 Mhz).

To run Airnav Selcal and Airmaster 2000 old "leftover" laptops are used that
I could get for a few Euros.

I principle network DDE can be done between programs that are capable of DDE
(on a single PC) using Win3.11 and above. You need an additional program
that changes the internal DDE adresses implemented into the respective
programs to network DDE adresses (freeware).

To connect the programs by networkk DDE needs much less resouces than "file
write detection", where files are continuously scanned for changes.

If somebody is interested he/she may contact me directly.

Regards,

Peter
