Hi Jim ,
I look after the WACARS Aircraft Base - The format is
G-CIVP - Registration
B747-435 - Aircraft Type
28850 - Serial Number
1144 - Line number
 VP - Tail Number
CL-HJ - Selcal
 Colum - Name of Aircraft
 ----------------------------------------------------20:55:34, 28/04/2003
G-CIVP B747-436 28850/1144 VP CL-HJ [Colum]
British Airways BA0084 Vancouver-LondonHeathrow
Using Ground Station C .Message No. S22A
Message Type Q0 LINK TEST (Downlink)

Hope that helps - Wacars is a little more informative on the Aircraft we log - It does not have to be that way but that's how I set
it up five years ago

Subject: [ACARS] aircraft.wdf file format

Hello All,
I am trying to decipher the format in the WACARS aircraft.wdf file.
I have seen the extended/expanded aircraft file which has a whole mess
of numbers. I assume this is SECAL and owner information. Could someone
enlighten me to how the data is laid out and where the fields break? Thanks!

Jim Wyman
