[ACARS] New aircraft

Hi Ted,
I process my Acars logs using Scanfile (by Nick Birrell) which gets rid
of most errors (wrong reg., wrong f/n prefix, missing hyphens in B.777
reg.s, e.g.) and then Dacars (by Bart Hoekstra). The latter will flag
any reg. and f/n not previously found in a log, so process your oldest
log first. This will show what aircraft are "new" in your logs.
Both programs can take logs from a number of decoders, including ANAD
(AirNav Acars Decoder). They are available at:
Scanfile: http://www.acarslink.com/utility.htm
Dacars: http://www.homepages.hetnet.nl/~hoekb03/dacars.html
The latter doesn't mention ANAD as a compatible decoder, but it does
work with ANAD.
One more remark about Scanfile: this does not work in real time while
the decoder is running, but does process any log that is complete, e.g.
the previous day's (ANAD normally starts a new log when the first
message after midnight is decoded, or when you restart the program after
midnight).
I hope this is of help. Good luck!
Cheers,
Jacob
