Hi all,
Noticed the comment from Sami 'good old Wacars', can only reiterate, what a
great program.
As noted by Sami made for Windows 3.11 and still going strong, for me a very
underated program without all the problems of these new fancy ones and
updated with Tony Fletchers updates and run with SkySpy and its demodulater
(or Airmaster 2000) a solid platform, (for me anyway).
I do own Airnav 3.2 but find I use it less and less these days and have not
bothered with any of thier new products especially after some of the
comments here on the list.
I feel the same way about scanner control, I spent almost 100 on
searchlight for my 3000A and found problems with recording amongst other
things, I now use a freebie from the internet and cannot sing its praises
enough, not a single problem from day one. Records perfectly, has a great
memory capacity, stores all of my frequencies, can be edited and really easy
to use.
These expensive to buy and expensive to upgrade deals are a thing of the
past for me, expensive does not mean good.
My point being, search the internet, watch for comments on this group, we
can enjoy the hobby without spending hundreds of pounds and who needs all
this running arround trying to fix programs that should work first time
anyway.
Cheers for now.
Colin

Hi Ed,
it is not looking too good. I got the following advice from Airnav System
Support (tnx):
"
Please do the following:
1- Click your right mouse button over the AirNav ACARS Decoder Icon.
2- Go to the Compatibility Tab.
3- Check the box "Run this program in compatibilty mode for:".
4- Select "Windows 98/Windows Me".
"
I did as told but nothing changed.
As soon as the first message is to be received, the decoder halts.
I can only feel lucky that the good old WACARS (made for Windows 3.11??) is
still "singing like a bird".

Sami
The same thin happened when I tried it on NT4. I was told it does not work
on NT4. So you might assume it won't work on W2K
There has been a new release of ANAV since I last tried it
