[ACARS] No Luck Here

Ahhh, seems I do have some luck now.... :o) Last week I was having
problems - it seems an older driver for the SB Live card has done the
trick. Currently installed was the newest drivers, and thought I
might try installing the basic standard SB one to see if that
decodes. When it didn't work, reinstalled the proper ones, but the
1998 version of the drives, and PC-HFDL seems to be picking up now. I
haven't had a actual a/c decode yet, but it's a start.

Surprisingly most with Sony 2001Ds had said these things aren't easy
to tune and to expect high Freq Errs. I'm running Auckland on
10084.1 and getting a freq error of only 0.4 to 0.5Hz while others
have noted up to +/- 50. Maybe I'm actually haveing some *good* luck
now :o)

Seriously though, thanx to all last week for their suggestions. My
advice though is if some are still having problems try
reinstalling/different drivers - even older versions of the same
driver. Worked for me :o)

Unfortunatly it's late, and will probbaly have to wait till dawn+ to
get some a/c :o) I live quiet a way from Brisbane so I'm not used
to the quick firing of VHF Acars so I'm used to waiting around anyway
:o))

Happy decoding,
Subs
