Hi Subin,

Here in Sydney, I have no problems picking up HF-Acars. I have decodes from
Guam, Auckland, Molokai, Krasnoyarsk, Bahrain, Santa Cruz Bolivia and
Johannesburg. I
have also heard some of the other frequencies but not been able to decode
them.

I have seen other reports of problems with the Sound Blaster Live card and
that may
be your problem, I use the (much cheaper) Sound Blaster AudioPCI card and it
works fine, I think the SB Live card overprocesses the signal.

You need a UHF receiver which will tune fairly accurately, it has been said
that if the RX is over 50hz off then it will not tune in. I have a Winradio
1550i which tunes well.

Have you ticked all the boxes on the PC-HFDL screen (apart from Hex), that
way you will see everything. Once it works, all data appears in the large
bottom box (especially if you have Verbose ticked), then any flight numbers
appear in the aircraft box to the right. If you click on an aircraft,
details of its message appear in the top box.
