Hi,

I've been following all that has happening with PC-HFDL but
today was the first day I actually got to try it out myself.
Unfortunatly I don't seem to be getting any results :o( I'm
using a 1.7Ghz machine with a SB Live card, and for a long
time VHF acars has been working very well with Wacars and
'Line In'. But when I try HF monitoring with PC-HFDL I don't
seem to be picking up anything. I'm also using a Sony 2001D
and have tried all the freqs in my region (Brisbane - ie.
Guam, Auckland, Hawaii etc) but nothing displays on screen.
Are you meant to get a squitter message every 32secs? I can
physically hear the squitters every now and again, but PC-HFDL
only says "Listening" and that's it. What could I be doing
wrong here? I've also been exiting the program using the Exit
button rather than the X. Meanwhile, the other usual voice HF
freqs are loud and clear, and now these squitters sound pretty
strong too. It's just PC-HFDL doesn't do anything. Any
suggestions?

Other thing I wanted to ask is, is it similar to wacars where
the raw data is meant to be displayed on the top box, and any
decoded data in the bottom box? That is, every 32 seconds, is
something new (whether it's actually decoded or not) should
apprear in the top box? I'm not getting anything?

Thanx in advance,
Subs
