Hi all,

Some experiences so far:

Shannon: 8942, 11384
Reykjavik: 8977, 11184
Bahrain: 11312

Just tune in to one of the frequencies mentioned in the manual and wait 32
seconds for a squitter. I you catch one the frequency is good for your
location.

I have only the 'BDU' and 'HFNPDU' boxes checked. HFNPDU shows the actual
messages and positions. The nice thing is I also get uplinks (which I don't
get on VHF because I live at some distance from Amsterdam and Dusseldorf.
Here is an example of an uplink to a Polar Air Cargo 747 (the same I logged
yesterday on a military flight to Kyrgystan:

08/03/2002

19:13 on 11.312 (Bahrain) which was pretty busy:

2.N920FT RAF QUHDQDDPO~1 WHAT IS YR FUEL REMAINING? RGRDS/DISPATCH 6&

I use PC-HFDL on a AMD Athlon 1600+ (the good old P1/133 has finally ceased
to be...). It's quite a difference from the 16 MHz AT 80286 I use for VHF
ACARS :-)

The receiver is a Lowe HF-225 with 15 mtrs wire.

Gtx, Bart
