Hi Jacob and the list
good question and thanks for sending off list first.
<Perhaps you can clarify to the list, in case I am not the only one who is
unsure what to do next.
I agree the answers should be on the list.
<does this apply only to the [ACARS] list or also to [ACARSLogs]?
Only to ACARS. ACARSLogs is run by someone else.
<Do we send a post to your own email
address and you post it if approved? Or do we still sent it to
[email protected]?
please continue to send it to [email protected]
< Can you clarify how this will work?
you send your post as normal. the mailman system holds the post for me to
read if I approve it gets sent if not a rejection notice will be sent.
I will be fair as possible in reading these, the requirement is not if I
like what's said but is it useful to the hole ACARS community. the one thing
about this list I always liked was the fact that it could basically run it's
self with out all the garbage of other list. thank you notes are ok as they
show appreciation. but over the past year there have been more bickering and
unconstructive messages on the list, this must stop. it's destructive to
both the list and hobby.
and this list will go back to the list it was before all the infighting.
even if I have to approve the messages for the next 10 years. both the
regular posters and the armchair reader are tired of it. and I will assure
all that when they get a post from this list from now on it will be relevant
not the garbage. the idea is not so much to censer I'm very strong on
letting folks have there opinion and don't even like prereading the post but
certain order and professionalism should be maintained if this list is to
grow and in turn help the hobby to grow.
if I reject a post read the rejection notice I will tell there why so one
has a way to rework the post so it can go to the list. if we all put up with
this until the list is back on track and I see I'm no longer needed to
moderate than we will try running free post. what you will notice is the
list slowing down and when you get post they will come all at once. this
will be at least once a day I will check more as I can. I'm hoping
everything works out before my vacation in mid aug. if not you can still
post but wont show up on the list till I get back
Thanks
