look folks
we all have web sites we like and ones we don't. if one does not like a site
don't go there or support it. in either case running a web site especially
one that is specialized is very hard work weather it's selling something or
giving info and I thank anyone who contributes by having a site no matter
how good I think it is. Mark's site is only been up a very short time as far
as sites go and I think he deserves credit for his contributions and A big
thanks for respecting tony, steve, and nick by not trying to have a copycat of
there site, but adding as much as he can to add to there content. and with
all the links back and forth between the two sites it's almost like one site
anyway.
what's going on here is a great thing not only for us on the list but for
the hobby.
acars-link could have decided to just shut down and we loose YEARS of work
and valuable research.
instead the work will live on and still be available to all and still more
important the content can still grow. it a rare thing to have two sites that
work together to begin with.
Mark: thank you for picking up the info now you have full permission to post
the info to your site and now you have the freedom to set up what could be a
"more content rich" site than either one was as individual sites. the best
of luck to you mark and nick. as your knowledge of the inner workings and
tricks of web works grows so will your site and how it's presented will
grow.
(I think after a short time you folks will find a site at least = to what
acars-link was).
Tony, Steve: thanks for your many years of work and service to the acars
community. it increased the knowledge base of us all 100%. its sad that our
lives don't allow us to do more.I know that you will still contribute to the
list and I sure if asked would contribute now and then to the new site as
possible.
nick thank for past contributions and continuing on with mark.
to the rest: thanks weather you just read the list or post to it. and please
if you have time but don't post to the list please do every little
contribution helps us all.
but for those who won't support 1 your welcome to your opinion but this list
is not to flame those who contribute to the hobby by there web sites. keep
personal feelings off list it herts the list and hobbie as a hole. every web
site has a way to mail the webmaster state your displeasure there. or better
yet offer to contribute content that would help make it a site you would
like.
if you don't like a site there are many things you can do.
1: listed above
2: type acars in your search engen and find a site you like (this could
bennifet all of us too as the more sites the better)(acars-online will be
the only one in the taglines if there are enough sites I will set up a link
page on my site)
3: make your own site. learn how much planing and work go into a simpel
site. who knows it may be better but eather way you get to see what is's
like on the other side of the fence.
I will allow this therad to continue IF the comments are on the line of
thank yous or CONSTRUCTIVE comments. any more flames are to be off list.
please don't make me do my job and moderate this list. I read all the post
anyway but if I have to moderate the list every one will get there post once
or twice a day if I have time to approve the post. and when I go on vacation
for 2 weeks!
now lets get back to acars and stop the bickering.
mark, steve, tony, nick thank you all for what you've done and will continue to
do in what ever amount you can do it your still a key part in the top
contributors on the list and I may go as far as saying to the hobbie

Thanks
