[ACARS] Real time ACARS Alerting software

Hi,
The idea I had for alerts was basically a text file, which the user can
modify directly or from within the program. The user could then add whatever
text they wanted to "catch" (i.e. registrations, flight numbers, some
specific text) and then Log Analyser would alert the user whenever they were
detected. As far as notification of the event goes, there are all sorts of
options. I could get the main window title bar to flash, pop-up a message
etc. I'm open to suggestions, so let me know what you'd like to see :-)
Cheers,
Mark
P.S. You might want to move this thread to private email, so everybody
doesn't have to read this, as it won't be relevant for everyone :-) -

Hi Mark,
its nice to see that you are quickly reacting to customer requirements
but maybe I didn't state the requirements properly.
I would like to use my ACARS as a tool to warn me of any aircraft that maybe
coming my way
that I haven't seen before rather than heard before. There are many aircraft
I have heard on
ACARS but have not seen physically. I am not really interested in keeping a
track of what aircraft
I have heard other than on a daily basis in real time. I monitor my ACARS (I
use Airmaster2000) visually
to see what is around, often I know an aircraft is due so if I know the
flight number I can use the Airmaster
alert option but this is not very visually noticeable as it only highlights
the relevant reg or flight
number in the Live data box also the number of alert items is very limited.
The idea about the new window would be ideal but instead of checking against
unheard aircraft
it needs to be checked against a list of required registrations that the
user can input themselves.
The highlight feature would be very useful as long as it is very visually
prominent more so than
with Airmaster and also a audio alert at the same time would be extra
helpful.
I hope this explains the requirement in more detail
all the best
Dean
